Poker is a card game in which players place bets (representing money) into a pot before the cards are dealt. The goal of the game is to form a winning hand based on the rankings of the cards. The game is played with chips that represent money, and each player must buy a specified number of chips at the start of the round. Typically, a white chip is worth the minimum amount of an ante or bet; a red chip is worth five whites; and a blue chip is worth two, four, or five reds.<\/p>\n
During each betting interval, the player to the left of the dealer must place chips into the pot equal to or greater than the total contribution of the player who went before him.
